PREVENTION OF LEGIONELLA IN HOT AND COLD WATER CIRCUITS
Project Description
THE COMBINATION OF TWO TECHNOLOGIES WHICH AUTOMATICALLY DISINFECTS ALL WATER CIRCUITS PERMANENTLY.
International statistics indicate that one of the main facilities likely to become a source of proliferation and spread of Legionella is AC and sanitary water circuits with centralized systems. These are by their nature highly extended and branched networks in buildings intended for hospitals, clinics, hotels, residences, resorts, homes, barracks, prisons, tourist resorts, sporting venues, leisure complexes or any building of similar use.
The problem is exacerbated in pipe bends and dead branches to end users where water can stay static at temperatures of about 60 °C at the junction of the discharge pipe down to 20 °C at the end near the faucets or showers.
Temperature decreases as distance increases towards the delivery pipe, inevitably passing through areas between 35 °C and 37 °C, which is the optimum range for multiplication of legionella.
